About

With a slew of producers jackin’ beats and recycling exhausted radio riffs, the sounds produced by Eugene Shakhov feel like a cold shower after an August run through the California mountains; spine-tingling freshness that seeps deep into your pores.  The next big thing in hip-hop/alt rock/pop production is standing in line for the party with a grip of the dopest beats; you better make sure he’s on the list.

Hailing from Russia, Eugene became a musician at the tender age of 6 when he learned how to play the button-accordion (it’s more hardcore than you think).  He entered music school at age 7, music college at 16 and the prestigious Saint Petersburg State Conservatory (the Russian equivalent of Julliard) at age 19.  Years of classical training, as well as exposure to the American/European music scenes, have given Eugene a diverse background and a unique ear to develop his own signature sound and even though he hails from Russia his tracks are far from frozen.

Eugene isn’t just your average music producer. He puts heavy emphasis on vocal productions, not by just concentrating on pitch correction, annunciation adjustments and cadence alignment (that he’s great at!), but by creating multiple voice harmonies and unique vocal approaches.  His hip-hop/alt rock credits include ultra-catchy “Nobody Likes Me” and “Till I Drop” songs that he co-produced with Deuce (amongst many other songs from Deuce’s “Nine Lives” album), and numerous songs that he produced for Skee-Lo’s “Fresh Ideas” album, just to name a few.

If you’re an artist looking for a chart topping single, you better reach him quickly before his beats have a “Dre-like” fee to go with the quality.
